Jared W Shumaker

Born and raised in Lake Charles. Bachelors from McNeese State University in 2011. Married to Victoria Nunez Shumaker and they  have three children.  Parishioners of St. Margaret Catholic Church.  Enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.

Jared W Shumaker Worked as a legal assistant on the Deepwater Horizon Economic Settlement from 2012-2014.  Law school at Southern University Law Center. On the Moot Court Board an editor of the Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty.  Graduated cum Laude and admitted to practice in Louisiana in 2017.  Since then, Practicing law and serving the Lake Charles community. I’ve handled a variety of cases, including personal injury, successions, business litigation and acquisitions.  Argued cases at the district court, appellate court and Louisiana Supreme Court level.  Practice is primarily focused on criminal defense, successions, estate planning and personal injury.  Serving Calcasieu and surrounding parishes.
